On Saturday, Junet 8th 11 CPD Officers from the Patrol Division volunteered their time to take part in the 2024 Special Olympics Cruiser Convoy. The convoy is a parade of Officers and cruisers from across Massachusetts which ends at Harvard Stadium during the Special Olympic Games. Following the convoy Officers got to meet athletes from Cambridge and other nearby communities before cheering them on in their events.

2024 is Cambridge's 3rd consecutive year taking part in the Cruiser Convoy and with 5 vehicles it is the largest turnout yet. Cambridge's participation is a collaborative effort between the leadership of the Police Department and the Cambridge Police Patrol Officers Association (CPPOA).
